Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026
1. Commitment to Privacy
GoPage — Full Page Screenshot ("we", "our", or "the extension") is committed to respecting and protecting user privacy. Our software is designed from the ground up to operate entirely locally on your device with zero data collection.
2. Data Collection and Transmission
GoPage does NOT collect, transmit, store, or sell any personal data, browsing history, user identifiers, IP addresses, or analytics. Specifically:
- We do not track which websites you visit or capture.
- We do not send captured screenshots to any cloud servers.
- We do not use third-party tracking scripts, cookies, or analytics services.
- All image stitching, rendering, and annotation happen strictly in your browser's local memory.
3. Chrome Extension Permissions
GoPage requests the minimum possible permissions necessary to perform full-page screenshot capture:
| Permission | Exact Purpose |
|---|---|
activeTab |
Allows GoPage to capture the visible area of the specific browser tab you clicked to capture, without requesting access to all websites. |
scripting |
Allows GoPage to programmatically scroll the active page and suppress scrollbars during screenshot stitching. |
storage |
Used solely for ephemeral session locking (chrome.storage.session) to prevent accidental double-captures and local IndexedDB caching for viewer rendering. |
4. Local Storage & Data Retention
When you capture a screenshot, the resulting image blob is stored temporarily in your local browser's IndexedDB database. This is used solely to allow you to view, crop, annotate, and export the image in the viewer tab. Screenshots older than 48 hours are automatically purged from local storage.
5. Third-Party Services
GoPage does not communicate with any external APIs or third-party servers. All dependencies (PDF generation, geometry calculations, and canvas rendering) are bundled locally inside the extension package.
6. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if extension functionality evolves. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated timestamp.
